Summer break

It’s been weeks without any updates on my blog and I am SO SORRY to you guys! So many things have been going on lately and I was just too busy to keep track of them, such as work, meeting up with family and friends, world cup, doing errands – just to name a few. I also spent same awesome days at the Munich festival called Tollwood, and was again too lazy to keep a diary of those days, however, I did take an Instagram picture at least 😉 And another event I missed keeping a photo diary of was the summer festival of my company last week, where I headed to after work and didn’t think of bringing my camera. As usual I was just eating, chatting and having fun – sometimes it’s so difficult to be a part-time (hobby) blogger – haha. Anyways, I just wanted to let you know that I\’m back again.

Outfit: Cropped

Hi everyone! I missed to upload more than one blog post this week. But damn, again, I am to lazy to do something about it. And since the weather is so good right now, I can\’t help but going outside and doing something. Which is why I also went to my universities (or rather my faculty\’s) summer festival on Thursday. Enjoying free food and drinks with university friends – what else could you want? It was also on this exact day that I realized that I wasn\’t used to drinking alcoholic drinks anymore. Just had a few sips of a strawberry margarita and felt kind of drunk afterwards.. I am Asian indeed. On Friday I went to a friend\’s place after work – to celebrate his birthday and to watch the long awaited German football match against France! I actually don\’t care about football at all, but events like world cup or european cup change my mind completely. If you\’re also watching the world cup, then please root for Germany on Tuesday, will you? Well that\’s it for my week; had a relaxed weekend so there\’s not that much to talk about. See you until the next post!

In case you\’re wondering why all of my pictures are in black and white. The reason is that I simply didn\’t like the play of colors in these pictures. And please excuse my fat belly on the pictures as well (haven\’t got the motivation to do sports this year.. sob)

The weather in Munich right now is very gloomy and rainy, so I thought that a more thoughtful blog post wouldn\’t be out of place. I think that, especially on days like this (and when you\’ve got nothing to do), people tend to sit down and think about god and the world, and so am I. I have been ambitious my whole life, always thinking that I can surpass everyone as long as I put much effort into it. But at a certain point in my life I lost that ambition. It was a though time for me which I certainly don\’t want to get back to anymore. What doesn\’t kill you makes you stronger, right? In every stage of your life you are confronted with unpleasant events which you can easily go without. But that is how life is supposed to be, isn\’t it? You fall and you get up again.

When life knocks you down, try to land on your back. Because if you can look up, you can get up. Let your reason get you back up.

What I want to say with this post is that many people do not discover their real dreams yet, and are living a life that they are expected to live. I never wanted to work in any fields that involves arts, i.e. designer, musician, and similar. Back in high school I have chosen music as one of my advanced courses, which included piano assignments. Until then I loved playing the piano, but as soon as I entered those advanced courses, I have been overwhelmed with piano assignments which I personally didn\’t like at all. I hated my course. I disliked those assignments and I didn\’t like my course classmates as well. After graduation, I didn\’t do anything related to arts until now, probably because I was too occupied with university and being lazy. But now, even if I neglected arts and music for the last few years, I feel like I want to get back there. I like the beautiful things in life, be it nature, landscapes, people or food. Just staring at those beautiful things makes me unknowingly happy. That is why I want to expand my knowledge and skills to show you beautiful things that I discovered.

Outfit: Elegant Flower

Hi everyone, sorry for uploading this post at a much later time as usual. My schedule was so full that I only rushed to work and appointments until I finally arrive at home and head straight to the kitchen to prepare dinner. I\’m not a power woman, so this is quite exhausting for me to have such a tight schedule. I can\’t even imagine how some people can manage to only have 2-4 hours of sleep everyday! Anyways, I always end up lying on the cozy couch and watching some series (Suits, HIMYM, …) in the evening.
I actually wanted to upload this outfit post last week already, but better late than never right?

My personal opinion on this outfit is that it\’s elegant and cute at the same time – totally my style! I bought the zig top, the midi skirt and the gladiator cut out sandals just a while ago and I just love them! They look fashionable and are so comfy at the same time. (And as you can see, I\’m really loving black and white outfits lately… haha)
I wore this outfit last week on an event called \”Bloggerbazaar\” in Munich. German bloggers and readers probably know about this event, but for all of you who don\’t: It\’s basically a blogger get-together, where a selected group of (fashion) bloggers sell personal stuff, such as clothes, shoes, accessories etc. to visitors. An event where you get the opportunity to buy your favorite blogger\’s wardrobe and get to know them personally. Cool stuff right?

Outfit: Refreshing Summer

Hi everyone, how are you doing? Here\’s just another short update on my blog: I have made an account on (see link). I don\’t have a lot of outfits posted there, but please take a look on my page (like and fan perhaps?) and show some love for my lookbook account 😉 This outfit here is what I posted recently on my lookbook. A simple and refreshing summer outfit. What I love the most about my outfit are the high waisted shorts that I ordered from the online shop \”Minute Hand\”. The quality feels good and they are so comfortable to wear! Definitely one of my must-haves for summer, paired with printed shirts (you can never go wrong with printed t-shirts!).

Review: NYX Butter Gloss Cherry Cheese Cake

Hi everyone! You all probably know that the new trend for summer lately is wearing orange lipstick or lipgloss. If you know me personally or just go through all my pictures on my blog or Instagram account, you\’ll probably notice that I barely wear anything on my lips except for lip balms. The reasons therefore are that first I like to put emphasis on my eyes when I do my (daily) makeup and second – let\’s just face it – lipstick doesn\’t look good on me. However, with this orange lip trend going around, I couldn\’t just sit around and do nothing (especially I when I already got into orange lips trend, thanks to Yoo In Na in \”My love from another star\”). That is why I purchased the Butter Gloss from NYX in \”Cherry Cheese Cake\”. No lipstick this time again, but lip glosses are also wonderful, aren\’t they?

Product description:

\”Buttery soft and silky smooth, our scrumptious new Butter Lip Gloss tastes as sweet as a sugar cookie—and makes your lips look downright luscious. Swipe it on alone or over your favorite lipstick for creamy sheer to medium coverage that melts onto your lips and is never sticky\”

This lip gloss has a creamy medium coverage on the lips and can be applied directly on the lips or worn over lipstick. What I like about this product very much is that it softens and moisturizes my lips. I have the problem of very dry lips and a lot of lipsticks and lip glosses make my lips even drier after using them, which is not the case when using the NYX butter gloss. Another pro of this butter gloss is that it smells simply amazing! Mine is supposed to smell like \’Cherry Cheese Cake\’, but in my opinion I think it smells like a candy with strawberry and cherry flavor. Yummy! Talking about the application, I thinks that its texture is a little bit sticky at first, so be careful not to apply too much on your lips. After a short while the sticky texture will dry and you\’ll have wonderful shiny lips, which for me last about 4 hours. But I think that the duration clearly depends on the color of the lip gloss (the \’NYX Butter Gloss Cherry Cheese Cake\’ has a rather faint color compared to the other colors from the series). With the price of 6.99 € a great product!

Review: Essence ULTÎME Omega Repair Intensive Mask

Hi everyone. I can\’t believe it\’s Sunday already! I was busy during the whole week with work and at the weekend I met with a few friends, attended the birthday party of my bf\’s mother and of course enjoyed the great weather that we have in Germany right now! I was almost giving up writing my Sunday post, but I eventually got my laptop to write a review for you. Few years ago I didn\’t pay much attention to my hair, not mentioning hair care, since my hair was always kind of healthy. But during the last few years in which I kept changing my hair color more often, my hair naturally got worse and especially my hair ends were damaged and had a lot of split ends. This was the point where I started to inform myself about hair care products. And especially summer I thought it is a good idea to tell you my opinion on one of the products of my \’hair care haul\’, which is the Essence ULTÎME Omega Repair Intensive Mask.

Product description:

The divine, extra rich mask for intense nourishment in 1 minute repairs inside damaged hair cells & reduces split ends by up to 95%. No more waiting around in the shower! Essence ULTÎME contains a precious ULTÎME-4-Complex: A unique combination of pearl essence, panthenol, refined protein & keratin. Indulge your hair with luxurious care: Experience Claudia Schiffer’s beauty secret.

Since I was using hair conditioners beforehand I wanted to try out something new and picked a hair mask from the Essence ULTÎME Omega Repair series by Claudia Schiffer, which promises to treat damaged hair cells and reduces split ends – The perfect product for my hair problems, isn\’t it? I use this hair mask about 2-3 times a weeks and it really treats my hair well. After every use my hair feels very smooth and shiny and smells amazing. Another good feature of this hair mask is that according to its ingredients list this product seems to be silicone-free. However, I didn\’t notice any remarkable changes in terms of less damaged hair and split ends.

Aqua · Cetearyl Alcohol · Isopropyl Myristate · Behentrimonium Chloride · Distearoylethyl Hydroxyethylmonium Methosulfate · Hydrolyzed Pearl · Plukenetia Volubilis Seed Oil · Panthenol · Cocodimonium Hydroxypropyl Hydrolyzed Keratin · Hydrolyzed Keratin · Maris Sal · Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine · Cetyl Palmitate · Dimethicone · Citric Acid · Parfum · Phenoxyethanol · IsopropylAlcohol · Methylparaben · Cetrimonium Chloride · Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride · Glycerin · Hexyl Cinnamal · Linalool · Limonene · Benzyl Salicylate

This hair mask smells good and makes my hair feel more smooth and shiny, but other than that there were no remarkable changes of my hair due to this treatment. All in one, a good product but not a must have.
